(Gintama + Touken Ranbu) I Caught a Little Sugi

Shi Yan only remembered the day: yellow sand everywhere, cries of anguish all around, and a gloomy sky that seemed ready to fall. She could clearly hear blood dripping from her arm onto the earth, one drop after another, and feel the thin back of the boy carrying her, trembling nonstop.

"Jinsuke, don't look back," Shi Yan murmured in his ear. She could no longer remain in this world, and the blade at her waist had begun to hum.

She climbed down from his back, pushed him forward, then turned with her sword in hand to face the pursuing Amanto, her expression stern and sorrowful.

"Jinsuke, keep moving forward. Take my longing with you and bring Master Shoyo back."

"Don't look back."

Many years later, Takasugi Shinsuke, dressed in a purple yukata patterned with golden butterflies and holding a golden-threaded nanmu pipe, could no longer avoid looking back. He knew that even if he did, neither the gentle-eyed teacher nor his princess Kaguya would ever again stand outside the Shoka Sonjuku and smile at him, saying:

"Jinsuke, welcome home."

Reader's Guide:

1. The male lead is Takasugi Shinsuke. It's not exactly a sweet story, but I'll do my best to make it sweet.

2. The female lead has the highest combat power in the whole story, but terrible social skills, on par with Kamui. All the sword guys have boosted combat power (see Katsugeki).

3. This is a romance, so it's bound to be out of character. Please don't come after me, the author (hiding behind a pot).

4. That's it. Updates whenever I feel like it.

Theme: The world may be absurd and chaotic, but as long as there's light, there will be hope. You are my hope.
