[Zhuang Hua Fanfic] A Sword, Light and Peaceful

She slept inside a sword for hundreds of years, oblivious to the passage of time. By the time she awoke, the world had changed beyond recognition, and the kingdom she had guarded all her life had crumbled apart over the long years.

She watched as the Hidden Sword Manor was built beside the Xizi River and grew stronger day by day.

She watched it all happen, but no one ever saw her.

Then one day, her reflection appeared in the clear eyes of a baby, and a tiny hand touched her palm, cold for hundreds of years. At last, her long and lonely life was filled with a different kind of color.

Once, she had wished to protect the land beneath her feet and the people behind her. Now, all she wanted was to keep Ye Ying safe and free from worry.

"Hey, do you have a name?"

"Oh, my name? Hmm, no one's called me by name for hundreds of years. I've forgotten it. Just call me Big Sister."

"...No. You're old enough to be my great-great-great-grandmother."

"Get lost..."

At the Third Great Sword Tournament, she watched the Tiance soldiers come and go from her perch in a tree, sorrow and melancholy in her eyes.

"A Sheng, what's... wrong?" The handsome young man looked concerned, something he had never done before.

"Little Ye, I'll tell you a secret. I used to be a very powerful general, even more powerful than the generals in Tiance..."

It's just a shame that she ended up as a sword and still couldn't protect her kingdom.

This is a side story, a standalone Hidden Sword Manor fanfic. As for when I'll update it, I have no idea. I only dig holes, I never fill them in.

As for the heroine, she's a sword spirit: a goofy, cute big-sister type, and she's trying to become more like Sister Hongyu. Should I admit that Sister Hongyu is actually my one true love? (?′ω`?)

P.S. This is a story about doting on Ye Ying, so the characters being out of character is unavoidable. But even though it's a sweet, indulgent story, I have no idea how it'll end~
