Xiao Xiao

A true romance. Read at your own risk.

Bai Xiaoxiao was an odd one out on the banks of Baishui. The women living there were all unattached; he wasn't.

The women there all entertained guests from near and far, some familiar, some new; he did too.

The women there all sold their bodies; he... he did too...

Tan Lang was no different from the other guests at the stilt houses. They made their living on the river, traveling to and fro; so did he.

Whenever they came here, they visited the little house they knew and spent some tender time with the person they knew; so did he.

Each time, they nearly emptied their pockets; so did he, except he had more money and spent even more of it...

All the women on the banks of Baishui knew Tan Lang was generous, but he only ever visited Xiao Xiao's stilt house.

The regular sailors all knew that one of the stilt houses on the banks of Baishui was home to a man, not a woman. Luckily, Tan Lang only ever visited that little house...
