The Divine Chef’s Little Husband

Food-channel creator Fang Chi, a million-follower sensation, transmigrates into the body of a young man whose parents are both dead. He lives with his aunt, who hurriedly arranges to marry him off just because her scholar son looked at him a couple of times.

When Fang Chi opens his eyes, he hears his aunt counting out his dowry. After taking stock of his frail body and surveying the six people in the room watching him like hawks, he quickly figures out the situation: get married first, then find a chance to divorce.

According to them, his "husband" is a tutor living in the household. The family consists of a whole crowd of people and servants, plus one weak scholar who couldn't hurt a fly. Which side will be easier to deal with? It's not even a question.

Food is the people's paramount concern. Once he's divorced, with his cooking skills, he can make a living anywhere.

But first, he has to get married. Fang Chi decides he can't let the scholar get away, so he has someone deliver a purse to him to keep him on the hook.

On the wedding day, Fang Chi lifts the veil and sees a handsome man in red, with distinguished brows and eyes that can't hide his refined bearing. His heart jolts, and he blurts out, "Hey, hubby."

Xie Heng placed first in the imperial examination in the nineteenth year of Zhengde. After getting caught up in factional strife, he resigned and returned to his hometown, concealing his identity as a tutor in a wealthy household. His employer arranged a marriage for him with a young relative staying at the estate.

The young man was mild-mannered, always looking at his cousin, and when he heard he had been promised to Xie Heng, he even fell into the lake by accident.

Xie Heng had planned to refuse, but then the young man had someone deliver a purse. It looked fine on the outside, but the stitching inside was a complete mess.

The pastries sent along with it, though, were rather charming.
