The Other Shore

You were born before I came into the world; when I was born, you were already old. You resent that I was born so late; I regret that you were born so early. You were born before I came into the world; when I was born, you were already old. I wish we could have been born at the same time, so I could be with you every day. I was born before you came into the world; when you were born, I was already old. I am separated from you by the ends of the earth, while you are beyond the sea. I was born before you came into the world; when you were born, I was already old. I would turn into a butterfly and seek you among the flowers, roosting in fragrant grass each night. Theme:
