When the Protagonist's Cheat Got Butterflied

Transmigrating isn't the worst part. The worst part is only finding out in the end that you've transmigrated into a story. Transmigrating into a story isn't the worst part. The worst part is getting screwed over by the System. System: Host has completed the series of quests. Please accept your completion reward package. Zhou Qiran: How do I get out? System: Die. Zhou Qiran: What's in the package? System: Immortality~ Zhou Qiran: System, go to hell! System: System upgrading. Please try again later. +++ The upgraded System claimed it was a rookie too, and apologized for causing such a spectacular mess. But there was a way to fix it. Since this is the world of a book, we can count on the protagonist, right? But the truth was... System: At this point, the protagonist should have an old man in a ring come to the rescue and teach him skills. But you made a move back then, and now the old man is a big shot in a sect. System: At this point, the protagonist should have a junior sister who gives him weapons, connections, and herself. But you said one thing back then, and now the girl is under house arrest, reflecting on her mistakes. System: At this point, the protagonist should fall into a trap and learn a new skill. But you killed the person who set the trap. Zhou Qiran was covered in blood. My fault. I admit it. So next, I'll happily (?) go and make up for the missing cheat skills. But... The protagonist's personality seems a little different now that we've changed the plot? > P.S.: 1. The bottom is the shou, 1v1, sweet romance, with no corruption, confinement, or System-forced plot points. A willful troublemaking shou who transmigrates into a book X the gong protagonist. 2. The gong is a growing character. He misunderstands the shou in the first twenty chapters, but that's only because he grew up in extreme circumstances. After he comes to his senses around chapter twenty, he becomes a devoted fanboy. After all, when this part of the story takes place, the gong is only a nine-year-old kid who's been led astray. To those asking for the gong to be perfectly well-mannered and versed in all the virtues, I'm afraid I can't deliver _(:зゝ∠)_ 3. Characters from the author's completed novel, Diary of a Poker-Faced Cat Owner, make cameo appearances. The two stories are related to some extent, but it doesn't have much overall impact. 4. The author's completed novel: Diary of a Poker-Faced Cat Owner, the daily cat-petting life of a poker-faced fluff lover shou and a silly, warlike cat gong from a wealthy family~ Sweet romance, no angst, 1v1~ =+=+=+= The author's new novel: Why Not Marry the Cat? [Reborn], a rebirth story about revenge and cat-petting~ Blurb: In his previous life, Jingjie died a pathetic death. Only before dying did he learn that he wasn't an abandoned orphan. Before his father died, he entrusted him to someone, leaving everything to the baby in his arms. But he trusted the wrong person. His "friend" kept the inheritance for himself and had Jingjie raised among the servants. Everything that belonged to him was stolen. After being reborn, Mu Tianliao, who had reclaimed his real name, decided he had to grow stronger and take back his father's things. > Mu Tianliao: To grow stronger, I need to make a pact with a powerful demon beast. Little black kitty: (perks up its ears) Mu Tianliao: But I'm too weak right now. I need to build a relationship first, then make the pact. Little black kitty: (sits primly.jpg) Mu Tianliao: I've already picked my target. Little black kitty: (stands tall.jpg) Since you're so eager, I'll graciously... Mu Tianliao: Coal Ball, wait here. I'm going to make a pact with a demon beast. Little black kitty: ...??? Meow meow meow meow meow?! Wasn't I your target? Didn't you flirt with me so many times because of it? Why flirt if you won't marry me?! The Crown Prince of the demon clan felt that his affections had been betrayed. So he decided to catch that liar, kiss him, pamper him, and pin him down~ Theme:
