Born Without a Monk's Fate

My new novel, After Getting Rich, I'll Build a Grand Garden, is now underway, with daily updates... When a modern teacher transmigrates into the body of an ancient monk, teaching physics turns into sitting in meditation and chanting sutras. Lin Zheng can only stare at the sky in exasperation. But then one day, he discovers that he might not be able to remain a monk after all! And so it all begins with his being forced to return to secular life... Reading guide: 1. A heartwarming romance with a male lead. 2. Setting: The story begins in a fictionalized version of the late Southern Song. Everything before the Southern Song is real history; everything after it belongs to the Later Song. The story begins in the late Later Song. The previous novel, Born Unsuitable for Government Service, is set in the Yuan dynasty after the Later Song. That Yuan dynasty is also fictional, not the historical Yuan, and the story takes place in its early years. The emperor's surname is Zhou, so the previous dynasty in that story is the Later Song featured here. Although the protagonists in the two novels both have the surname Lin, they aren't related. Sharing a surname is purely a coincidence. Judging by the timelines in the novels, Lin Zheng is only about twenty years older than Lin Qing, so he definitely isn't his ancestor, haha~ Theme:
