The Empress Jing

A clueless, tacky modern woman with no special skills transmigrates to the Han Dynasty and marries a historically renowned wise emperor. Female lead: "Where's the wise ruler I was promised? Who is this cold-hearted, heavy-handed cheapskate?" The male lead's father is famous for being frugal. He saves wherever he can, and the palace has gone unrepaired for years. After the male lead takes the throne Female lead: "Qi, why don't we spend a little money fixing up the palace?" The male lead considers it briefly. "Let's do it." The female lead suddenly remembers reading in a history book that her son will need to spend a lot of money in the future. "Never mind. We should save it for Che'er instead." The male lead: "...Whatever you say." While out incognito The female lead spots a jade bracelet. "Qi, I want this one." The male lead asks the price. "...Be good. Wait until I collect this year's taxes." The next day, her son secretly gives her a jade bracelet. "Mother, I bought it with my pocket money. It's for you." The female lead is proud, pleased, and suddenly enlightened: At last, I understand why the protagonists in so many historical novels and TV dramas are my son. Liu Qi can only appear as a supporting character, the father of the protagonist! During an argument Female lead: "Liu Qi, you miser!" The male lead dismisses everyone around them and says sternly, "Close the doors. I shall discipline the Empress." A feudal-minded male lead vs. a female lead who is a successor to socialism. Note: 1. This is a humorous take. The main historical sources are Records of the Grand Historian and Book of Han, but the history is heavily altered and the research is sloppy. The historical setting is changed beyond recognition, so I guarantee a one-on-one pairing from beginning to end. 2. The female lead thinks in unusual ways and is weak. Especially after meeting the male lead, she embarrasses modern people every day. My author page
