Dr. Brien died in the apocalypse a thousand years ago, but he had already completed his designs for improving the genes of future humans. He called humans with these genes Betas, or second-generation modified humans.

A thousand years later, he was revived.

But he discovered that the Alpha warriors created to resist the apocalypse and alien invasion had actually produced mutant offspring with failed test subjects codenamed Omega, and had become the dominant force in society.

So Brien has two goals:

First, take back the world for the Betas.

Second, find the genetic virus. Because the damnable, crazy organization that revived him turned him into an Omega, then... destroyed all the records and committed suicide!

In short: this is the story of a terrible scientist's terrible return to life. Science and technology are the primary productive forces, so this novel is also known as "The Reborn Scientist and His Future Alpha: Love and War," "How to Use the Power of Technology to Train an Alpha," "A Guide to Raising a Loyal Dog," and "The World Has Been Taken Over by Crazy People."

This story is full of extensive alternate-universe worldbuilding, and is the product of a massive imagination capable of detecting redshift. I will never waver in my commitment to pseudo-science.
