[Western Crossover] The Evil God Wants to Be a Good Person

Joshua inherited a bookstore. Then he discovered that this also meant inheriting the headquarters of a secret cult and... a collection of strange enemies. To survive, he had to learn how to be a proper bookstore owner (and cult leader). After spending a night studying the books in the shop's back room, Joshua heard ancient whispers echoing in his ears. In his dreams, a sinister gate called to him to ascend. and he received an old parchment journal. Every page could unlock a secret identity with a bizarre ability. On the parchment, he saw A gentleman holding a lantern to light the way for the world, slowly stepping into a dark abyss; A young doctor devoted to saving lives, gradually succumbing under the burden of a curse; A retired officer, battle-hardened after years of war, moving through the shadows to clear away obstacles to his faith; A street urchin selling newspapers, slipping into forbidden places after nightfall; Joshua: Something seems off about my secret identities, and they look like they transmigrated from the late nineteenth century... But that's not important. What's important is that, to save his precarious finances and make up for the precious summoning materials he'd spent dealing with his strange old enemies, he had to grit his teeth and solicit sponsorship while hidden behind his secret identity: "Sir, could I have a moment of your time? I'd like to talk to you about the founder of our religion and the Bringer of Light..." which was, in fact, himself. The superheroes being preached to: ??? Premise: Humanity matters more than power
