A Shelter from the Start

A famous City of Hope stands on the wasteland. Legend has it that its governor led an unstoppable private army and carved out a fertile home in the desolate, polluted wasteland of the apocalypse. At that very moment, the governor of the City of Hope is sitting expressionlessly in city hall, addressing one of his private army members: "Stealing a resident's chicken: minus two points." The burly man in a pink sequin outfit offers him a chicken. "...Task complete. Returning a resident's property: plus five points." The burly man boasts to his companion, "See? That's what you call exploiting a bug." The governor, still expressionless: "..." Once again, he is suffering from the bizarre antics of those travelers who call themselves "players." Half a year ago, Ji Wei, on the verge of death, found this abandoned shelter and accidentally activated some kind of Savior System. Soon, the shelter began receiving batches of strange bionic people who called themselves "players." They fear no death, are vicious and unruly, and cause even more destruction than zombies. To keep the wasteland peaceful, Ji Wei has no choice but to keep issuing new missions to the "players": Instead of scavenging, abduct people. Whenever you encounter survivors, bring them back to the shelter. Hunt zombies, raise mutated creatures, build a homestead system, modify equipment and guns, set up automated production lines, organize an army of survivors... It isn't until one day that Ji Wei realizes they've rebuilt a city in the wasteland. Theme: The Fourth Calamity
