[Tentatively planned as a medium-length novel. The start date will be announced in the blurb in advance, so feel free to bookmark it. There are currently two chapters, but they’ll be replaced when the novel officially begins, so they’ve been locked.]
After Klein ascends to become Lord of the Mysteries and falls into a deep slumber, he finally manages to wake up, only to discover that he has arrived in an unfamiliar world.
A game world.
The game is named after his honorific title. Its protagonist is a hapless fellow who appears to be named Klein Moretti but is actually Zhou Mingrui. The main quest and his own life story aren’t just alike, they’re exactly the same.
Klein: “...Well, I’ll be damned.”
A mysterious figure tells him that he must gather faith through the game to stabilize his humanity, fulfill certain wishes, and receive some help.
It sounds nice, but there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Worried this might be a scheme by the Celestial Worthy or an Outer Deity, he decides to play along. He returns with the person who discovered him to the so-called Church of the Fool, planning to observe the situation before deciding what to do next.
Then he discovers that it seems most players in this game are his devout followers.
Walking down the street, he might run into players who randomly appear and shout to the heavens, “We’re Mr. Fool’s dogs!” In the Church of the Fool, there are regular players who whisper blasphemous things about the gods. The world and church channels are even worse. One “Praise the Fool” can draw thousands of replies.
But not every player is like that. There are also the Night fans, the Creator fans, the Abraham fans, the Red Angel fans, the Celestial Worthy fans, and so on... Wait, what the heck is the last one?!
Setting aside the various factions of believers, there are also some rather extreme players. For example...
Klein looks at the insults and criticism aimed at him in the world channel. His expression doesn’t change. He simply lowers his head, but when he looks up again, he sees... an entire screen of flowery language?
#Why are my followers reacting more strongly than I am, the actual person involved?#
#? Why have the Tarot Club members transmigrated too? And the angels and gods?!#
#Wait, don’t expose my secret identity. I think there’s still hope for me!#
1. Klein is the protagonist, no CP. A group of bold, passionate players (?) enjoy an online game together. A slight ensemble cast, with both original characters and characters from the original work.
2. There are original characters, all of them players. Most are Klein fans or friendly to Klein, and there are plotlines with Klein haters as villains.
3. The content is pretty fanatical about Klein. Chuunibyou nonsense warning. There are forum-style scenes in the world and church channels. There’s no stealing the spotlight because this story has little to do with the original work (?) and is purely an online game story, with secret identities exposed and the whole world feeling sorry for our Klein!
4. Everyone transmigrates together. Klein gets some illogical cheat abilities. Don’t think too hard, because the author doesn’t have a brain.
5. The game setting has nothing to do with the Lord of the Mysteries games on the market. Since the original work is being adapted into a game, there are inevitably details that differ from the original worldbuilding. Readers who like meticulous research or take things too seriously should read with caution.
6. In short, join the Klein fandom!
Theme: Be devout.
Is this book updated weekly?
Klein is cute, and the NPC that turns into a pot sticker when there are so many people is so funny.
