[The blurb and names may be revised later, but the core premise will stay the same]
[Klein is Lord of the Mysteries. The male lead is only borrowing a power, not taking on that identity. The male lead has always served as an angel beneath the Fool, and retires to enjoy his old age after the ending.]
Also known as: "Working Hard Every Day to Win Mr. Fool's Favor," "The Celestial Worthy Is Fighting Me for the Control Panel Again," "Can We Please Not Do a Burning Winter Like the Neighbors?" and "When Can I Finally Get Away from This Trio?"
Li Yunxiu died, crushed by a truck.
The good news: He transmigrated into the world of the novel Lord of the Mysteries and got a System. The System said it would give him the identity of the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings. As long as he helped the male lead, Klein, achieve a perfect ending, he could reach the pinnacle of life, want for nothing, and live a thousand years.
The bad news: The System was a newbie and completely unreliable. First, it mistook him for a woman and nearly assigned him a romance conquest mission. Then it told him there was an error in the program: Amon. The original Celestial Worthy hadn't gone off to enjoy his retirement, but was sharing Li Yunxiu's body.
The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings, suddenly popping up: "Hi~"
Li Yunxiu: "...System, if you want me dead, you can just say so."
The System burst into tears: "But if the Host doesn't complete the mission and help Klein get a happy ending, all three of us will be goners..."
Learning that he was involved too, the Celestial Worthy stopped sleeping and dropped the cheerful act, urging Li Yunxiu to help the fated child, Klein. "For the sake of our precious lives, you have to give it your all!"
Li Yunxiu: "..."
.
Reality is harsh, but life goes on.
Though a novel's antagonist (in a weakened state) lived inside him, constantly causing trouble in his head and fighting him for control of his body, Li Yunxiu still had to fight for his life. He would get close to Klein and provide him with a golden finger and assistance.
Li Yunxiu, who was always dragging two along with him, gritted his teeth and carried out missions. Then Mr. Fool's holy light shone upon him, and he realized that following Mr. Fool was the only way to get a decent meal. Compared to those two, who could only perform a two-man comedy routine in his head, Klein was an amazing teammate: smart, easy to communicate with, and cooperative.
After being thoroughly sabotaged by the two idiots, Li Yunxiu wept as he clung to the Fool's pant leg, begging to become a fanatical believer. "Please let me be one of your blessed, my lord! I really can't take another day of this!"
Klein looked at this fellow countryman, who usually had an imposing air, and tried to keep his pants from being pulled off. "Let go first..."
Just then, the Celestial Worthy suddenly popped out of some obscure corner and said to the two in their bizarre pose, "We're all Mysteries. Instead of hurting each other, why not let each other go and do a Burning Winter like the neighbors? The three of us should focus on living well together. That's what matters most!"
Li Yunxiu and Klein, who had been sabotaged by this weirdo countless times: "As if we'd believe you! Stay away from us!"
.
(Note from a certain Celestial Worthy): We, the Lord of the Mysteries, can have our own Burning Winter too.
(A certain Klein crosses that out and rewrites it): Burning Winter is forbidden for the Lord of the Mysteries.
(A certain Yunxiu gives the above a like and adds an exclamation mark.)
Reader advisory:
1. No CP and no romance. The trio is the Burning Winter. It's just the Celestial Worthy messing around. The trio can be Klein-Yunxiu-Celestial Worthy or Yunxiu-Celestial Worthy-System.
2. The protagonist doesn't steal Klein's spotlight. He's here to make Klein shine brighter and to be his devout believer. Also, the protagonist's "Lord of the Mysteries" status is Schrodinger's, and the System belongs to a privately invented higher-dimensional faction, so there are many original elements in this regard. The main goal is to create a perfect ending and help Klein beat the Celestial Worthy. (Sorry, I'm a Klein fan. Celestial Worthy, just enjoy your retirement in peace.)
3. The Celestial Worthy is the antagonist. He's weak at first and restrained by the System, so he can only cause minor trouble for the protagonist. The further the story goes, the bigger the trouble gets. Every day, he works hard to kill the protagonist and Klein. He and the protagonist bicker daily and seem to get along, but when it matters, they hit each other harder every time. I haven't read Circle of Inevitability, so his characterization is just an upgraded Amon: a chaotic, wicked troublemaker who lives for fun.
4. The protagonist has a very T personality and is almost never sentimental. He's an efficiency-first type, rarely changes expression, and can deliver outrageous opinions with a poker face. He's thick-skinned and knows it's better to take things out on others than turn them inward, so he'll start a fight at the drop of a hat and charge in with his eyes shut. He's a top-tier Klein fan, and an unconditional supporter of the Fool. In the blurb, he's called Li Yunxiu. After the first three chapters, he'll be referred to by his English name in the story.
5. The System has never been hardened by society and has no work experience. It tries its best to help the protagonist every day, but something goes wrong every day. It's cute and silly, so please be a little more understanding and kind to this artificial idiot.
6. This is a comedy. It doesn't feature top-tier mind games, nor is it completely confined to the original worldbuilding. Please don't nitpick the power scaling, and I don't recommend reading this with your brain switched on, because the author doesn't have one.
Theme: We absolutely cannot have a Burning Winter like the neighbors!
