[The title won't be decided until before posting, but the core premise won't change]
[The story may follow Klein's perspective rather than the heroine's, or use dual perspectives]
Ji Yunshu is an orphan. With no one to rely on from childhood onward, all she could do was hope to get into a decent university through the college entrance exams, find a decent job, and somehow support herself. That alone would be a blessing.
Then, on the day of the exams, she transmigrated and became... an orphan. An orphan who had to take the college entrance exams.
Ji Yunshu: ...
Transmigrating changed so little that she had nothing to say. She did her best, got into a decent university, and barely supported herself by working while studying. She even started dating a wonderful boyfriend she was very, very fond of.
They entered the working world together, got jobs, moved in together, and began talking about marriage... Life was peaceful and lovely, except that her boyfriend was named Zhou Mingrui, which occasionally reminded her of a Cthulhu novel she'd read before transmigrating, whose protagonist had a rather rough time of it.
Ji Yunshu loved this life.
Until one day, when she got home from work and met her boyfriend's eyes. The instant their gazes met, she realized this was no longer her boyfriend.
And on the table lay A Summary of the Secret Arts of the Qin and Han Dynasties.
So it wasn't just transmigration. She'd transmigrated into a book, and the book was Lord of the Mysteries.
The Celestial Worthy appeared out of thin air, wearing a mask and a black robe. In a voice that was neither male nor female, he chuckled softly. "...Would you like to make a deal?"
Ji Yunshu: ...Wow, and now there's a mysterious deal, too.
My boyfriend is the protagonist of a Cthulhu novel. What should I do? Help, I'm in a hurry.
Breaking up is out of the question. All she can do is work hard to level up and help her boyfriend overcome every obstacle!

Klein was reborn.
In his previous life, he had planned to perish alongside the Mother Goddess of Depravity. When he opened his eyes, he was back on that night when his temple throbbed with pain. This time, he was going to reclaim what was his... Never mind, let's not resort to overpowered-protagonist lines.
Klein held back his excitement, feeling his humanity surge. Then he looked up and saw the girlfriend who had died in the Old Days standing before him?
Wary that an Outer God was playing tricks, he probed her, used divination, and tried every method he could think of. He confirmed that this woman, who hadn't appeared in the first cycle, really was his girlfriend.
Klein temporarily chalked it up to the changes brought about by the universe restarting. That is, until one day...
Why are all these people, and even the Outer Gods, calling my girlfriend "Great Mother"???
A few things to know before reading:
1. Klein is the love interest. One-on-one romance. The heroine has no romantic or sexual relationships with anyone but Klein. This is a melodramatic story about two top actors putting on a performance for each other, with two powerhouses pretending to be clueless innocents in front of one another.
2. The heroine sets out to save people, starting from the Old Days. She follows the Mother Goddess pathway and, as a transmigrator with a high-dimensional status, gets some original-author privileges.
3. The heroine is gravity-themed, a brooding, obsessive woman with a strong ghostly, inhuman aura. This is my personal preference; she's not sunshine and rainbows, and she's laid-back about everything except Klein, but she's ruthless. She's the world's biggest Klein fan (in this story's world).
4. Because of the Mother Goddess, this story is destined to get pretty weird and drive you a little insane (?);.
5. Western names will be used in the main text for harmony's sake.
