Everyone in the sect has secrets about who they really are.
Sheng Qianjing thought he was the only one holding his sect back. After a hundred years, he finally accepted that perhaps the path to immortality was not meant for him.
The first time he went down the mountain, he proceeded with great care.
His junior nephew Ci Yi, on the other hand, was quite something: he even dared to trade sharp words with a person who was practically a god of slaughter.
Sheng Qianjing found it quite troubling, afraid that if the boy got killed, there’d be no one to demand justice for him.
Strangely, though,
all those gods, immortals, devils, and ghosts seemed to treat them with great courtesy…
He revered the gods, so he agreed to an unnecessary request.
But, caught in a scheme, he walked into a dead end like a frog slowly boiled alive. Scorched by flames, skinned and having his bones stripped bare: better that a fellow cultivator die than that I do.
Only after Sheng Qianjing “died” did he remember, and finally understand:
He had thought of Geng Chen as a friend. Geng Chen apparently hadn’t thought the same.
He had considered A Jing a close friend. Le Zheng Yuanjing apparently hadn’t, either.
He had thought of Xiao Qi as an adorable, lovable junior nephew. Ci Yi only acknowledged the “lovable” part.
When rivals in love meet, they can’t stand each other, even when the person they’re facing is “themselves.”
Seeing the people around Sheng Qianjing, Ci Yi finally snapped and shouted, “Stay away from him!”
He had casually asked the Divine Lord for a blessing long ago. Only much later did he learn why the Divine Lord had blessed them with the words: “May you two return to the Upper Realm soon.”
“Three lifetimes are nothing. Whoever I am, as long as it’s you.”
· A mythological ensemble cast, unhurried pacing, karma across three lifetimes, happy ending
Eyes and brows like stars, teeth like jade, an immortal bearing and celestial bones.
Once I saw your reflection beyond the Immortal Capital. Why, then, have you fallen to the mortal city time and again?
