The Beloved Youngest Son of a Fierce Family

Sangsang was a custom-made companion robot. His young master's parents loved their child dearly, and brought Sangsang into their home so the boy would have someone to care for him while they were at work.

Surrounded by such intense love, Sangsang developed a consciousness of his own.

He envied his young master so much. Someone read him stories before bed, talked with him about fun things at mealtimes, and even washed the toys he'd played with as a child until they smelled lovely, then put them in his wardrobe.

Sangsang thought that since his young master had so much love, he could sneak just a little of it for himself without anyone noticing.

A heart-shaped glowstone was quietly slipped into the hollow space in the robot's chest. Sangsang thought no one would ever find out.

Until the day he was dragged into an incinerator. He couldn't shed a single tear, no matter how much it hurt, and as he watched his young master smile triumphantly, Sangsang fell completely silent.

Sangsang was destroyed for theft.

The incinerator staff threw the glowstone into the trash.

When he regained consciousness, he had become a new Sangsang. This new Sangsang had a full name, Shi Sang, a kind and gentle pair of parents, and two handsome older brothers.

Sangsang was a little afraid.

The Shi-Wen couple, infamous for their brutality, had recently gained a new child. Supposedly, their youngest, who had been asleep for many years, had finally awakened. After he woke, their two sons, who lived in other star systems, hurried back as well.

Everyone expected to see the Shi-Wen couple's brutal parenting methods on display once again, but the stories that emerged painted a very different picture.

The youngest was fixated on heart-shaped glowstones, so the couple spent a fortune searching across the star systems. In the end, they simply bought a whole planet known for producing glowstones as a gift for his first month awake.

The youngest wanted someone to tell him stories before bed, so his two stoic older brothers took turns, telling him the entire history of the Empire over the past hundred years.

The youngest hoped to be like an ordinary child and enjoy the affection of his parents and brothers. The Shi-Wen couple were overjoyed, and immediately transferred half their assets into his name to show how close they were.

Yet even such simple requests were made only after they begged him several times. Their youngest had asked them with great care, afraid of troubling his parents and brothers.

Those who heard the story said: Yes, it really is quite a challenge. Getting four thugs accustomed to carrying guns and cannons into pink little aprons, with the latest candy in their hands, and having them coax someone in soft, gentle voices, must be quite a challenge.
