Heaven gave Zhu Jiudeng two choices: first, resist to the bitter end and ultimately be executed at the Dragon-Slaying Platform; second, find him another way out and arrange a suitable place for him to live, though he could never return to the Four Seas and Eight Desolations.

Zhu Jiudeng chose the second without a moment's hesitation, so he came to this unfamiliar world.

He knew it. That old geezer Heaven was no good.

Heaven's golden finger was a voice pack. Zhu Jiudeng wanted to beat Heaven until his head was covered in bumps.

"Who are you?" The boy wore an ornate, extravagant shirt. Beneath his short golden curls, his clear green eyes were innocent and bewildered. "Are you the great demon I summoned?"

Evil rose in Zhu Jiudeng's heart. He seized the boy by the throat and growled, "That's right. I'm going to eat you right now."

There was no fear in the boy's eyes. Instead, he said conspiratorially, "Then remember to eat me up completely. Don't let Father see, okay?"

The Celestial Dragon Zhu Jiudeng thought he'd picked up an idiot. He never expected this sheltered canary to have never seen the world.

Zhu Jiudeng flew into the air. The canary: "Wow, a dragon without wings!"

Zhu Jiudeng slapped three knights flying. The canary: "Wow, a really strong dragon!"

One of Zhu Jiudeng's old horns fell off. The canary: "Wow, a dragon that sheds its horns!"

Flattery is an art, and clearly this canary hadn't even learned the basics.

On this continent, dragons were incredibly powerful. The other races feared this powerful, fiercely protective, and mysterious people. Then one day, a being who called himself a dragon swept across the entire continent.

Dragon Island trembled. After years spent in seclusion, they had finally welcomed the mighty Dragon Emperor!

Zhu Jiudeng: Fine, since we're all dragons, I suppose I can take a turn sitting on this throne.

[Demons: They say he's a great demon awakened in our Abyss. That's our demon race for you!]

[Dragons: Get lost! Our leader is noble, kind, and great, punishing evil and never doing a good deed he wouldn't do. How could he kidnap a princess? How could he be a demon?]

[Humans: No idea. Anyway, a duke around here says his wife went missing. I heard this guy abducted her.]
