Fireflies Cross the Curse [A Chinese Ghost Story]

[A Chinese Ghost Story: New Fantasy | Yin Ziping x Feng Yaozheng | Parallel AU]

During the plum rain season in Jinling, the lanes were always drenched in unrelenting dampness.

There, a female physician from Xiaoyao Temple met a charmer bearing the Blood Curse of Star Devouring.

The brand left by the Eastern Depot was like shackles carved deep into the soul. The two, forever wandering from place to place in a troubled age, met at last.

No herbal medicine could undo the curse on their bodies, but the lingering notes of a zither could soothe the loneliness that clung to them.

In the end, no miracle came to eradicate the curse completely. Yet as they traveled through the Three Realms, battered by hardship and wandering without rest, they became the only home either of them could turn to.
