[Reader’s Guide] 1. Superman Prime One Million and Batman Prime One Million 2. This isn’t a traditional Superman/Batman story. It’s a thought experiment about what the world’s best partnership might look like if Batman had emerged on the Source Earth. 3. The story is set against the collapse of the multiverse caused by the Anti-Monitor. The Source Earth was completely destroyed, and after the Crisis, Superman Prime One Million, placed under house arrest with his native universe destroyed, punched through the dimensional barriers. His “reality punch” changed many parts of the multiverse. In this story’s version, the Source Earth was rebooted as a result. 6. Lots of author-created details, lots of Superman/Batman content. This is a silly story... Bruce Wayne blinked, and found that he had come back to life. Oh, no, no, no. He wasn’t Batman. He was just an ordinary rich guy with a happy life and a perfect family. It was an ordinary day. He went to work as usual, and then the Earth was destroyed. He blinked again, and everything was restored. Well, not quite everything. Could someone tell him why the pale-faced green-haired guy from the comics was standing outside one of his businesses, now reduced to rubble, grinning like a maniac? There was even a crocodile-looking monster gnawing on a streetlight funded by Wayne Enterprises, and a skinny, lanky figure in a sackcloth hood shedding straw and spraying some mysterious green gas everywhere... Wayne Enterprises’ CEO felt the “Building a Better Gotham” initiative he’d poured money into last month fluttering its little wings as it flew off with his cash, waving goodbye. Damn it. Enough is enough. What was the name of that Gotham guardian from the comics who took down villains? Batman, right? For the sake of building a better Gotham, he was absolutely going to be Batman. Bruce Wayne, clad in armor, punched Scarecrow and kicked the Joker, bundling up all the lunatics who had appeared out of nowhere and sending them to the psychiatric hospital.
