[Greek Mythology] The Nymph and Achilles

The frail and sickly Nymph was reborn into a new world. Nymph had become a race, and her name changed along with it to Cecilia.

Bad news: She was still weak. As a child, she was no stronger than a human, and she could only live for a hundred years.

Good news: Once grown, she would stay young forever and never suffer from illness.

Cecilia: A hundred healthy, long-lived years? What a deal!

There were bosses in this new world too. The sea goddess in charge of her saw how tall she was for a child, even though she still looked like a little one, and took her along to be her child's playmate.

The goddess was obviously a doting mother to her son, and the child was a potential mama's boy.

Cecilia: No problem, as long as they're nice to me. I'm here to join this family. "Sniffle" Look into my sincere eyes.

The boy was beautiful, with blond hair and blue eyes, but had a terrible temper. Every day, he got equally angry with every person and god except Cecilia.

They played house together for five years. He always cast Cecilia as the king, while he played the warrior who fought for her with a wooden sword.

Then they studied combat together for five years. Unfortunately, their teacher was crippled by an arrow from their senior, the mighty Hercules, so they had to drop out halfway through.

Then they hunted together for five years. The island in the Phthian region where they'd spent their childhood had now become a zoo.

Then one day, the twenty-year-old blond young man came back, brimming with excitement, and shouted to Cecilia, who was petting a big cat:

"I'm joining the Greek army to win glory in a land full of gold!"

"Wait for me to bring back spoils of war!"

"It'll only take a year!"

When Cecilia learned their destination was Troy, a few scattered memories from her past life began to haunt her:

Achilles, the year you go to war at Troy will be the beginning of the end of the remaining years of your ten-year life.

Meow meow meow?

This is a lighthearted, sweet story.
