Find a Husband, Escape the Disaster

Chu Wenci died, then came back to life, only to unexpectedly become bound to a System.

The System was a Serve the Nation System.

It assigned Chu Wenci a mission: rescue the brothers from the Duke's household who had been left behind.

The Emperor of Great Wu was incompetent and tyrannical, and the entire duke's family was massacred. The two legitimate-born brothers were sold by a broker to Luoxia Town.

Chu Wenci had to save them.

Later, Zhou Wenyue became his husband, and Zhou Wenbin became his brother-in-law.

Once the mission was complete, Chu Wenci had no choice but to return to the modern world. He entrusted his husband and brother-in-law to his younger brother, asking him to look after them.

But when he came back, his younger brother's family and his husband had disappeared.

Chu Wenci had no choice but to set out and find them.

He hadn't found his husband and brother-in-law when disaster struck. Great Wu was battered by months of rain, triggering landslides and raging mudflows across the land, while houses were destroyed.

Later, on the road as they fled the famine, he finally saw his husband: dressed in rags, gaunt and pale, and heavily pregnant.
