Fated Entanglement

At first, Jian Shannan thought he'd found a distraction. Later, he realized he would have to spend his life waiting.

The dodder vine that had once had no roots became a mountain that was impossible to cross.

[Long take]

Jian Shannan leaned both arms against the glass, staring blankly at the river that ran through the city. His slender figure was set against the moonlight, looking so grand and yet so desolate.

He looked at the message Su Yuan had sent him: [Jian Shannan, I love you]. He spent ages hovering over the screen, but couldn't bring himself to reply.

Jian Shannan's bun had come loose a little, so he pulled out his hair tie. His soft, glossy black hair fell to his shoulders. The young boy asked curiously, “Why do you keep your hair long?”

Jian Shannan tried to find a trace of Su Yuan in the boy, but failed. A sigh escaped his throat.

“I don't want to cut off the hair my lover has touched.”

Back then, their secret love was something the world could not accept.

But it gnawed at him to the bone, draining his heart dry.

“Su Yuan, you and I will be entangled for all these years, and no one else.”
