Yan Xishi's gray, dreary childhood suddenly turned bright and vivid after his father brought home a newly acknowledged son.

"Dong Xushi, Shun Cheng Tian Yi. How about we call you Yan Dongxu from now on?"

That child was clever as a fox. He saw joining the Yan family tree as a ladder to reinvent himself and rise to the top, but he didn't know that the moment the bell rang, all hope in Yan Xishi's eyes vanished.

It was those near-identical names that ruined everything.

One shared meals and a bed, while the other held fast to propriety. Strange feelings spread like sparks, until they became a wildfire consuming them both, and they could no longer hold themselves back.

Later, Yan Dongxu got caught up in a shocking scam and vanished without a trace.

Two years later, news of Yan Dongxu's whereabouts came from a stranger named Bian Baiyuan.

He had Yan Dongxu's voice, but a different appearance.

He had come back from two years in the future in a "time machine."

As for the purpose of his time travel, Yan Xishi's mind refused to go there. All he could do was desperately search for even the faintest connection between "Bian Baiyuan" and "Yan Dongxu."

"There's a burn scar beneath Dongxu's collarbone. Do you dare take off your shirt?" Yan Xishi's eyes were bloodshot. He had already reached for him, desperate for an answer.

"Bian Baiyuan" visibly resisted. He looked at Yan Xishi with a pair of eyes that seemed both real and unreal, clearly reminiscent of Yan Dongxu, making Yan Xishi's heart itch with longing.

"I'm not the person you're waiting for," he said stubbornly. "You might be the one who killed my father."

Yan Xishi was utterly shocked.

And yet, he felt an inexplicable tenderness. Perhaps... this was Yan Dongxu disguised as "Bian Baiyuan."

He had come to uncover certain answers.

Yan Xishi wanted to know everything about Yan Dongxu and Bian Baiyuan.
