Quantum Entanglement

Lu Zeshen is aloof and dislikes dealing with people, so he spends most of the year at sea and only comes back a few times a year.

He has one bad habit: whenever he comes home, he goes to bed with Su Fengyu, whether or not there's another man in Su Fengyu's life.

He is deeply enamored with Su Fengyu's body, but the two rarely talk about their feelings.

It seems to be an unspoken understanding between them.

As long as they never talk about the future, they can have the whole world.

Besides, Lu Zeshen disappears for months at a time as soon as he sails away. Who knows what other comforts he finds out there?

This was a playboy who couldn't even keep a pillow warm. Then one day, he suddenly said to Su Fengyu, "Let's get married." Su Fengyu was seeing someone at the time, but, as if under a spell, he agreed.

Only a handful of people attended the wedding, and even that was almost too much for Lu Zeshen to handle.

After they marry, he continues sailing as usual. When he reaches a port, he'll send a few postcards, casually telling Su Fengyu that he ran into the eye of a typhoon or pirates.

Sometimes he doesn't write anything at all.

Whenever the postcards reach Su Fengyu, they carry a faint scent of sea-salt perfume.

It is a faraway place he'll never reach.

But one day, Su Fengyu's friend asks him, "These letters have crossed several oceans. Why do they still smell of perfume?"

Only then does Su Fengyu think to check Lu Zeshen's route.

He discovers that it was all a lie.

But when Lu Zeshen once again posts a photo from a port, Su Fengyu, who has never left a comment before, asks him, "Where are you?"

Lu Zeshen replies, "Murmansk."

It's the starting point of the Northern Sea Route, and home to beautiful northern lights.

"It's so cold there, but you're wearing a short-sleeved shirt."

What Lu Zeshen doesn't know, now that he's been found out, is that the quantum entanglement between them has only just begun.
