Kuroko's Miracle Romance Game

[A little short story I wrote a long time ago. Just read it for fun.]

During the summer before starting university, Kuroko Tetsuya happens to agree to play a full-dive game his cousin says is known for having hellishly difficult romance routes.

Apparently, the game's male leads all have distinct styles and irresistible charm. They're all modeled to perfection, incredibly handsome, and adored by countless people. Or so they say.

But his cousin grits her teeth and says every male lead is as bad-tempered as a dog, and she's never managed to get a normal ending.

Curious to get to the bottom of it, Kuroko Tetsuya starts the game, then emerges completely baffled and drenched in sweat.

He can't help wondering: The characters all have strong personalities, sure, but none of them are that strange. And their actions are so suggestive. It's kind of embarrassing.

Kuroko Tetsuya doesn't know that the people interacting with him in the game are real, not data.

After kissing them in the game as if the rest of the world didn't exist, he opens the door to his university dorm and discovers that every one of his romance targets is in the same room.

At that moment, it felt like seeing a ghost.

Note: The people Kuroko encounters are real. For everyone else, they're just data in a game.

Theme: Be sincere with your friends.
