Xiluo Etuos is the head of the Special Investigation Team, a professional responsible for handling paranormal incidents.

Blond and blue-eyed, with strikingly beautiful features, he has a mysterious past no one knows about. He spends his days wandering around in a long trench coat, acting carefree and unserious.

But when indescribable evil spirits nearly destroy the world and bizarre calamities threaten to wipe out all life,

he still wears that same trench coat, standing in front of all the rampaging monsters and demons with a smile on his lips and an easygoing expression. He directs and coordinates everyone with calm authority, as if he were born with a power that inspires trust.

In the middle of a casual conversation, a catastrophe is reduced from great to small, from small to nothing, until it seems as though it never happened at all.

So everyone finds it hard to imagine what could possibly make him lose his composure.

Until Xiluo secretly sought out a black-market doctor to ask how to deal with chronic insomnia. The quack pushed up his glasses. "The solution's simple. Find someone and go at it for three days and three nights."

Xiluo was stunned. Xiluo was baffled. Xiluo drew a sharp breath.

But he believed him. He really did.

From childhood, Pei Xingye could foresee the future. He also knew that the future could not be changed, and never would be.

But one day, someone appeared outside Pei Xingye's prison. Sunlight illuminated his blond hair and revealed blue eyes as clear as the sky. He casually exposed Pei Xingye's secret.

"You're the one who can see the future, right?"

The moment Pei Xingye saw him, he also saw a vision of the future. He saw himself entwined with that person, their lips and teeth together, intimate beyond measure. He could almost hear the soft, broken sounds escaping the other's lips, see the flushed face beneath his golden hair, his misty blue eyes and the lips marked with his teeth, and feel the softness and smoothness beneath his palm.

In reality, the explosion he'd foreseen in his dream never happened, and the people who were supposed to die were still alive.

That person reached out to him and told him:

- The future can be changed.

The future can indeed be changed, but the past cannot. So Xiluo has always treasured his days with the Special Investigation Team, including his time with Pei Xingye, because Xiluo Etuos believes that once his blood-soaked past is revealed, everyone will turn against him.
