Mentally unstable red Hagi vs. (fake) black Matsuda who turns white halfway through, then dark again
Matsuda Jinpei's perspective:
Matsuda Jinpei came from the world of reversals. He had no Hagiwara Kenji, and after his father was arrested, the Black Organization took notice of his exceptional mechanical and bomb-disposal skills. He joined the organization as a child.
After transmigrating, Matsuda Jinpei discovered that he had a childhood friend, and the two of them slowly grew up together. He carefully hid his identity so no one would find out.
After November 7, Matsuda Jinpei was gravely injured saving Hagiwara Kenji. He was recaptured by the organization and lost his memory.
His memories were replaced with a life spent in the organization from childhood onward, until he grew up to become a Black Organization member with the codename Cognac.
Facing Hagiwara Kenji, who was still in mortal danger, Matsuda Jinpei thought: I don't know him. I'm not his childhood friend.
But when the long-haired man personally strapped a bomb to himself right in front of him, the name “Hagi” slipped out of Matsuda Jinpei's mouth.
Hagiwara: You could've just admitted you were my childhood friend from the start, w.
Matsuda walked right up to Hagiwara, tightened the bomb strapped to him, and said with a smile:
I told you long ago that I don't care about you. And I'm already beyond saving.
Hagiwara Kenji's perspective:
Hagiwara Kenji always thought his childhood friend had fallen from the sky, plopping right into his arms. Kenji-chan never minded that little Jinpei was afraid of the police, or that he knew how to pick locks and make bombs, or all his other strange skills. As long as Kenji-chan got weird enough too, then the two of them would be the same.
One day, my childhood friend suddenly disappeared. When I finally managed to infiltrate Public Security and find him, he told me he didn't know me anymore.
That's okay. Kenji-chan is part of Public Security now, so there's nothing wrong with arresting a criminal suspect. And there's nothing wrong with taking the suspect to bed, either.
He said he was beyond saving. That's okay. Hagi can force him back onto the right path and save him.
Theme: Long live HagiMatsu; love is eternal.
