One-sentence summary: A fake Black Organization Boss Hagi and a red-side Bomb Disposal Unit police officer Matsuda.

Blurb: Officer Hagiwara, age 22, died in the line of duty. He has now come back to life.

Why would something so contrary to human nature happen? Because, before he died, a resurrection System bound itself to him, giving him a body that was about to fall apart and a completely unfamiliar face.

Before Officer Hagiwara could feel proud of his heroic deeds, he learned that the world he lived in was a manga. Not only that, his beloved childhood friend and several of his fellow recruits would all die in one accident after another, leaving only Furuya Rei behind.

To set the world, now missing Karasuma Renya, back on track, his soul was forcibly stuffed into Karasuma Renya's body.

"So why does this manga have to have Karasuma Renya in it?"

"Because at the finale, the protagonist has to point at the villain and say, 'There's only one truth: you, Karasuma Renya, are the Organization's final boss!'"

To save his childhood friend and fellow recruits, and the world along with them, the heroic Officer Hagiwara embarked on a path of terrifying his fellow recruits, teasing little Jinpei, tax evasion, and making bombs like a madman.

Matsuda Jinpei thought his life over the past two years had been perfectly normal. PTSD and hallucinations couldn't stop him from living his life. But when November came around, Matsuda had to admit that his hallucinations had gotten worse. Otherwise, why did everyone look like Hagiwara Kenji?

The first time, he rescued someone being held hostage in a convenience store. Those watery eyes looked just like Hagi's. Before Matsuda Jinpei could get his contact information, the guy ran off.

The second time, he rescued someone on the verge of fainting from hunger outside a restaurant. He fed the guy a couple of bites, and then he ran off again.

The third time, he met someone who looked just like Hagi at work. This time, Matsuda Jinpei had learned his lesson: he warily put silver handcuffs on the other man before feeding him.

Sure enough, Matsuda Jinpei, who had thought it was all a trick of the imagination, discovered that every time they met, it was always Hagiwara Kenji rushing toward him with all his might.

But why had Hagi's face changed? Why was his body in such bad shape? And why had he become the boss of the enemy organization that belonged to Master Kei and Zero?

"So how did you recognize me? My face and body are completely different now."

In short, this is the story of a ghost police officer stumbling through the rescue of his fellow recruits and the whole world, then winning the heart of his curly-haired childhood friend.
