Zhong Fangyuan, an honest and straightforward man, boards a cruise ship for a company team-building trip. But just as they enter international waters, a bizarre murder takes place.

Strange noises in the pipes, whispers in the corridors late at night, and the faintly glowing, sticky water stains on his bed every morning when he wakes up... Every clue seems to point to some supernatural force.

Only when he's tied to an altar does he learn that he's the perfect sacrifice for Them. Water-blue tentacles surge up from beneath the altar and wrap around his ankles, waist, and wrists... so tightly, as if afraid he'll run away.

After the ceremony, the crowd disperses. The person beneath the veil raises their eyes to him. The candlelight flickers, and the face is so beautiful it doesn't seem real.

He says, “Now I belong to you.”

Zhong Fangyuan is stunned for a long time, then nods.

Zhong Fangyuan gets married after returning from the town. His spouse is actually a man, but he doesn't mind. His beloved is wonderful, just a little strange.

His face never appears in photographs, he never stands in the sunlight, and his hands are as cold as ice.

But that's all right.

Until one day, a Taoist priest tells him, “A beautiful ghost has latched onto you. You're going to die soon.” Honest Zhong Fangyuan politely shows the man out.
