But as he kept reading, the second half of the manuscript took a strange turn:

"He" and Yu Chi would fight until they developed an indescribable affection for each other. In the end, he'd cuddle, kiss, and embrace Yu Chi, indulging his tantrums, scolding, and clingy antics, acting like a spineless simp.

Standing in the rain-soaked forest, he looked at Yu Chi, barely alive on the ground, then at the absurd manuscript in his hands, and turned to leave.

Just then, Yu Chi saw his savior and cried out in a hoarse voice, "Brother, help me! The east river may run dry, but it'll flow again; don't bully a poor young man just because he's down!"

But every time he called his friend's name, the other man looked displeased, glaring at him with a gloomy expression and eyes cold enough to freeze a person solid.

One day, Yu Chi accidentally discovered that his friend also had a fragment of a manuscript hidden away. He was curious, but if he could have another chance, he would never touch it

because then he would learn that Wen Shu was someone else.

His friend was actually Lou Liansu himself, the villain he mentioned every day and swore to defeat.

Even more outrageous, the manuscript said that he would spend most of the rest of his life in Lou Liansu's bed!

Damn it! How did the author get the story so wrong halfway through?

Give him back his classic power-fantasy hero script!

Yu Chi was on the verge of tears. He packed his bags in the middle of the night and prepared to run. But before he could take half a step out of his room, Lou Liansu caught him.

Inside the bed curtains, Lou Liansu reached out and gripped the foot Yu Chi had kicked hard into his face. Ignoring Yu Chi's tearful sobs and angry curses, he raised his eyes and asked again and again, "Are you going to run away again?"
