Did My Arch-Enemy Survive Today?

[Mutual Salvation] [One-on-One] [Both Pure]

Yu Wei and Qi Muyan had been bitter rivals for more than ten years. Ever since becoming deskmates in high school, they had been at odds.

Aside from the fact that both were still single as they neared thirty, in the eyes of others, President Yu of the capital's Yu Group and President Qi were both handsome and talented, perfect catches.

Then one night...

Yu Wei drove to the riverside, finished a cigarette, and prepared to end his life of fortune and misfortune. He never expected

"What are you doing here?!"

A few meters away, one of Qi Muyan's legs was already over the railing.

No wonder they were bitter rivals. They had both chosen to end their lives here, today.

Their timing was impeccable.

But there was one problem: who would die first?

As bitter rivals, if one of them died, the other would surely be held responsible.

And how could they let the other one get to enjoy the afterlife first?

Why not jump together?

Who knew how much lung capacity the other had? What if he held his breath for a second longer and won?

Yu Wei: "I got here first."

Qi Muyan: "If you're blind, go get your eyes checked."

Yu Wei pulled out his phone and said, "Hello, Officer? Someone's trying to kill himself."

Qi Muyan: ?

But if they didn't die today, when would they die?

That was another problem.

Not only did they have to keep facing off, they also had to worry that the other might die first.

The competitive streak in both of them wouldn't let the other succeed first!

So Yu Wei called every day to check whether his rival had survived.

Qi Muyan kept an eye on him like he was a thief, sometimes even making a video call in the middle of the night.

Who could have guessed that rumors would start spreading everywhere:

[Shocking! The chairmen of Yu Group and Qi Group are together!]

Yu Wei: ? I just don't want him to get to enjoy the afterlife before me...

Qi Muyan: +1

Yu Wei really couldn't trust Qi Muyan, so he packed up and moved in next door to his rival.

He held up two fingers, pointing first at his own eyes, then at Qi Muyan's, and mouthed, "I'll be watching you."

Qi Muyan refused to back down. "Right back at you."

The closer they watched each other, the closer they got: from neighboring villas to neighboring rooms, and then to sharing a bed.

Yu Wei lay flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling in Qi Muyan's bedroom. Something didn't seem quite right.

So he asked, "Don't you think this is weird now?"

"What, have you given up on dying and decided to admit defeat?"

Yu Wei: ...

The word "lose" wasn't in his dictionary!

He rolled over and pulled Qi Muyan tightly into his arms. "Don't be ridiculous. I'm just afraid you'll sneak off and die."

Content warnings:

1. Both gong and shou are sick (literally, they really are ill).

2. Mad dogs biting each other (going for the throat).

3. Very short, around ten thousand words (if it runs longer, that's on me). Overall it's pretty funny, so don't overthink it.

4. Extreme fans of the novel Kill Kill are not welcome.

Life may seem dark everywhere, but there is always hope.
