Hello, Would You Marry Me?

[Hello, can I marry you?]

Bai Cexing glanced at the ninety-ninth spam email in his inbox, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

Every single one of these emails used the politest tone to make the most outrageous request: they wanted to marry him.

Was getting married really that difficult these days?

Even though none of the emails came from the same account, since he blocked every sender, Bai Cexing was sure they were all from the same person.

On the hundredth day, when the hundredth email popped up, Bai Cexing couldn't take it anymore and replied: [I won't marry anyone ugly.]

The reply came quickly: [I'm pretty good-looking.]

Bai Cexing sent over a hundred deliberately unreasonable conditions, such as:

[I won't marry anyone over 30.]

[I won't marry anyone who snores.]

[I won't marry anyone who doesn't eat spicy food.]

The other person dealt with every one of them:

[I'm 28 this year.]

[I don't snore.]

[I can eat with you.]

They were dead set on marrying him.

And so Bai Cexing embarked on his first romance: an online relationship.

In the year 6095 of the interstellar era, Bai Cexing, number one on the rich list, was in love.

It showed in the way he spent all day clutching his virtual device and grinning like an idiot.

Bai Cexing was over the moon.

The more he learned about his online partner, the more he liked them. He was already imagining married life, with his wife and kids gathered around a warm hearth.

Until the two of them arranged to meet outside the marriage registration office.

Bai Cexing was stunned.
