Your parents died in an accident a few years ago. After graduating from college, you, an orphan, chose to return to your hometown and live off the farm you inherited.
Life on the farm by yourself was too boring and too hard, so you posted a notice without much hope, offering to rent out part of your enormous house at a low price. The tenants had to be a traditionally married couple with a stable relationship, share your religious beliefs, and be willing to do a little work on the farm.
To your surprise, it wasn't long before you found tenants who fit the bill.
The husband was over forty, refined and composed. His wife was young and quiet, dressed in a traditional blue dress, her eyes lowered as she leaned against her husband's shoulder.
The husband was a wealthy merchant. His wife's old illness had flared up again over the past few months, so he had turned down work. He had also brought her to the countryside to rest and relax himself.
Every day, the husband went to the town church to volunteer, while his wife stayed on the farm to help you with the chores.
Normally, everyone in your town strictly followed the rules of the faith. Abstinence, restraint, fidelity, humility... Above all, tradition dictated that men and women keep their distance. Respecting and avoiding another man's wife was your duty.
Of course, you did just that. Even though you shared a farm, you kept your distance from the woman, treating her with polite courtesy. You never stayed alone with her after sunset, and when handing her something, you made sure to put a sheet of paper between you if you weren't wearing gloves.
At the same time, every little thing that happened on the farm was under your watchful eye. You knew the seemingly harmonious, loving couple argued and fought behind closed doors. You knew the husband would rage at the statue of God, his face twisted with fury. You knew the wife would deliberately tempt an unsuspecting young man from town...
You also knew that this wife was actually a man in a dress. He had been forced to live with her husband, a clergyman, and had no choice but to dress as a woman.
1. Set in a fictional European or American rural town, with supernatural elements. The religion, medicine, customs, and everything else are made up and exist to serve the story.
2. The bottom is forced to dress as a woman. There is no legally valid marriage between him and his "husband," so this is not marital infidelity.
3. The main characters are mostly bad people, with little sense of morality. No one is pure. Readers who need squeaky-clean romance should proceed with caution.
4. The story is primarily from the top's perspective and mostly uses second-person narration. It tries to have a bit of an RPG feel, but please don't refer to the protagonist as a "player character" or "avatar." The author dislikes those terms.
5. Unless something unexpected happens, the plot will include melodrama, gore, and vulgar elements. This was written by an author driven mad by school. Take it seriously and you'll lose.
When choices appear, every option should get its own story. You can skip around and read the options you choose. I'll do my best to pair them with different endings.
6. This is a free novel, updated whenever the author gets around to it. The blurb can't warn you about every possible trigger, and everyone has different limits, so decide for yourself whether to read it. Feel free to drop the novel, give others a heads-up, or criticize it as harshly as you like anywhere other than the comments section. But not in the comments. It's free, so cut me some slack (crawls around in a frenzy).
