When the Plums Turn Yellow

Coercive Possession | The Chase After Losing Her | Reunited After Years Apart | Amnesia and Imprisonment

The year the plums ripened, Chen Wanning rescued a badly wounded man in a rainy alley in Jiangnan. He was covered in blood, yet he pinched her chin and smiled. "Little girl, if you're going to save someone, see it through. Don't report me to the authorities."

Her moment of softheartedness became a lifelong nightmare.

When they met again, he was the powerful Prince of Zhenbei, and she was a young lady of the Chen family, about to be married. In front of her fiancé, he used the bloodstained dagger to lift her red wedding veil.

"Miss Chen, I've come to repay you for saving my life."

"And how will you repay me?"

The dagger's tip pressed against her heart. He bent close and breathed in her scent. "With myself."

He imprisoned her, doted on her, forced her, and begged her.

She fled, hated him, resented him, and wept.

Until she drank that cup of poisoned wine and fell into his arms with a smile.

"Fang Jinian, you don't have to repay this life..."

Outside the window, the plums were ripe, and crystal-clear raindrops fell from their branches.

"I'll give my life to repay you. Please don't refuse me."
