A strange player joined Rikkai University's tennis club.
He was extremely face-blind, and would sincerely praise the stern, scowling Sanada: "You're as cute as the captain."
He couldn't tell the colors of uniforms apart. At tournaments, he'd accidentally wander off with players from other schools, and Rikkai wished they could tie a leash around his neck.
He even firmly believed he was a fish. Whenever he saw water, he wanted to jump in, and Rikkai's members were exhausted from fishing him out.
He improved at a terrifying pace. A bottomless pit of stamina and an unbeatable training fanatic, he dragged the club members into grueling extra practice every day and earned the nickname Rikkai's Hellish Training Officer.
It took him just six months to go from not knowing how to hold a racket to becoming the king of middle school tennis.
The Rikkai team: "Mima may have questionable taste, insane training methods, and a few problems with reality, but he's incredibly strong!"

As a notorious troublemaker of the sea, the young orca liked nudging sea turtles, slapping manta rays, and sucking on the occasional two-legged creature.
Then one day, he was stranded and passed out. When he woke up, he found that he'd become a two-legged creature himself.
The young orca tried to return to the ocean, but a bunch of chattering two-legged creatures fished him out.
The two-legged creatures crowded around him and eagerly snuggled up. The young orca's eyes sparkled: he wouldn't go back to the ocean just yet!
Being a two-legged creature meant no sea turtles or manta rays to play with, but there were balls and other two-legged creatures!
Immersed in endless playtime with his two-legged companions, the energetic orca trained with the ball nonstop, leaving the whole team sprawled on the ground, completely worn out.
Except...
Atobe: "Ahn? A Rikkai player sneaking onto the Hyotei courts to spy on us?"
Mima Kyoya, confused: "Aren't you my two-legged creature?"
Aren't all two-legged creatures pretty much the same, apart from being big or small?!
Whatever. Just cuddle them!
Mima Kyoya wrapped his arms around the two-legged creature, pressed his face against it, rubbed hard, and took a deep sniff. Atobe struggled with all his might, but couldn't break free.
The Hyotei team panicked: "Somebody save the captain!"
At the Rikkai match: "How did Mima get lost again?! Hurry up and find him!"
Mima Kyoya: Rikkai's very own runaway.
Reader's note:
1. OOC warning! Mountains of headcanons ahead, including but not limited to changes to the timeline and character development. The author will stop at nothing to let Kyoya cuddle people!
2. Youthful everyday life, passionate growth and leveling up, with both daily life and matches. This story is also known as "From Learning to Be Human to Reaching the Top of Tennis from Scratch" and "Rikkai's One and Only Runaway." There are power-ups. The orca's mental strength is impossible to look at directly, makes him immune to psychic attacks, and comes with monstrous strength.
3. Kyoya has an eccentric way of thinking and can seem inhuman. He's face-blind and color-blind, and has no social skills. Early on, he has no manners, including spraying people with water and headbutting them. He learns whatever people teach him and believes whatever they tell him, crashing into and tormenting everyone equally.
4. Updated daily. The author will see this through.
