After Meeting My Ex-Boyfriend on a Blind Date

Slightly Sour Push and Pull | Rekindled Romance | Reunited at the Start

Unable to withstand his mother's relentless calls, Wei Ji agrees to go through the motions at a matchmaking dinner.

After adding each other on WeChat, Wei Ji is prompted by his mother to greet him politely: "Hello, Mr. Zhang. I'm Wei Ji. Nice to meet you."

The man on the other end has a middle-aged landscape photo for his profile picture and replies with just one word: "Mm."

Even when it comes to choosing a place for the date, all he does is send a location, without saying a word.

Wei Ji doesn't mind and casually adds him to the group of contacts blocked from seeing her Moments.

On the day of the matchmaking date, Wei Ji arrives early with her equipment and films plenty of material for her next vlog.

While showing off in front of the camera and filming several hand-dance videos, she notices someone sitting in the corner who has watched the whole thing.

How can a matchmaking date with a name she doesn't recognize have exactly the same face as her ex-boyfriend?

--

A friend boasts that he's going on a matchmaking date with a beautiful blogger and insists on showing Chen Qingzhou her photo.

Chen Qingzhou initially scoffs, but the moment he sees the picture, his mind goes blank.

After looking through the pinned contact's Moments again and again, Chen Qingzhou messages his friend: "You're going to the seminar this weekend."

Friend: "I'm going on a date!"

Chen Qingzhou: "I'll go in your place."

Friend: "???"

He adds Wei Ji on WeChat using his work account, only to find that her Moments are hidden from him.

Smugly, Chen Qingzhou opens his old WeChat account, only to come across her complaining about her matchmaking date.

Chen Qingzhou endures it.

What can he do? He still has to win her back.
