Is It Wrong to Start a Rock Band in a Classical Family?

Anyway, Cecilia died. For some inexplicable reason, she then met an angel of music.

The angel told her:

“In your next life, you’ll be born into a musical family.”

Huh? Was it possible to be born without a sense of pitch?

“I’ll give you perfect pitch and extraordinary musical talent.”

Whoa, that’s a pretty sweet deal! Cecilia was already picturing herself writing songs, releasing them, and launching her career all at once. She’d take over the entire entertainment industry!

“You’ll compete onstage with the Beatles.”

“??”

…Are you serious?

“Don’t worry. This is just an experiment. All you need to do is write your own legend during the golden age of rock.”

Reborn in the 1950s or ’60s to start a rock band? Her? For real?

You never said this musical family was a classical music family!

Listening to a beautiful symphony, Cecilia shut her eyes in despair.

Forget the Beatles. Wouldn’t her family beat her to death if she tried to play rock?

Trembling, she crawled over to the acoustic guitar and started randomly strumming.

The electric guitar was out of the question, so she’d try an acoustic one first. Maybe she could ease her family into the idea… Yeah, right.

“Old man, you don’t know the first thing about music!” The rebellious girl, with her hair cut and earrings pierced, gave him the finger and ran away from home in a burst of righteous fury.

Study? She dropped out!

Sorry. She made a decision that went against her ancestors’ wishes.

The things a guitarist should protect in this life:

Ears without piercings

The pick in their hand

Uninjured hands…

Cecilia failed to protect any of them!

She was the very definition of a genius, an unsurpassable peak. With a sincere soul and melodies granted by heaven, she spread across the world like wildfire.

She stood at the very center of the stage, basking in the cheers and praise of millions.

An alternate world, with some original worldbuilding.

A lighthearted wish-fulfillment story. Best read without overthinking it.
