What's Wrong with Letting Me Reel You In?

[Interstellar Setting]

When Ming Fei's mother died, she received a message from her aunt in the interstellar capital, offering to bring her there to study and pay for her education.

When her aunt was young, she'd married into a wealthy family and moved to the capital, transforming herself into a socialite. But time had been unkind, and once her looks faded, she had nothing left to rely on. That was when she remembered her niece Ming Fei, living far away in the poor district. Under the pretense of sponsoring her, she intended to train the girl into the next generation of socialite and profit from her.

Young Ming Fei was beautiful, and she knew it. She also knew what advantages her looks could bring.

So, after her mother's funeral, she left for the capital, a world of luxury and excess utterly unlike the slums.

Her aunt carefully trained and dressed her up, building her reputation, all so she could sell her for the best price.

Everyone in their circle understood what was going on without saying it.

The powerful, born with silver spoons in their mouths, coveted Ming Fei's beauty while despising her dignity.

Then one day, while she was on a date with a rich young heir, a voice suddenly sounded in her mind.

[Crackle... static... The System has been bound...]

From then on, she could exchange the affection others felt for her for various things.

At first, it was money.

Then power.

In the end, she thought that perhaps, with just a single thought, she could even exchange it for their lives.

So she made up her mind: she wouldn't be a socialite. She'd become the master of these celestial dragons :)
