Transmigrated as Emperor Shao Liu Bian, he inherits a mountain of problems. Whenever Liu Bian tries to work hard, he coughs up blood, so he can only play the role of a frivolous, pleasure-loving prince in fine clothes.
Even Liu Bian, who refuses to believe it, only tries to do a little when he sees the dead strewn across the land, and ends up coughing up three pints of blood.
Forget it. Staying alive matters more.
Just then, a familiar System finds him. "Ding! Host, I've caught up with you. Hurry and bind with me."
Liu Bian refuses. The System whimpers as it binds itself to the fake imperial seal beside him, then floats away after saying, "I'll make you regret your choice."
At the end of the Eastern Han dynasty, war ravages the land and the people suffer. Dong Zhuo leads the Xiliang army into Luoyang by force and is about to display his might when a ding sounds in his ear: "The Hegemony System is now at your service."
Dong Zhuo looks excitedly at the Imperial Seal of the Realm he seized from the young emperor, his eyes shining. From then on, Dong Zhuo often asks the System for advice. When the Hegemony System is in a bad mood, it frequently calls him an idiot.
Dong Zhuo is delighted, thinking he is Heaven's chosen one, until the System kills him for ordering the poisoning of the young emperor he despises. Even then, he still thinks his great cause is within reach.
The Imperial Seal's power resounds across the land even after Dong Zhuo's death.
Cao Cao is bound to the System. The System says, "Build roads and provide relief to disaster victims."
Liu Bei is bound to the System. The System says, "Lead the people in farming."
Sun Jian of Jiangdong falls silent as he looks at the real Imperial Seal of the Realm, its chipped corner repaired with gold, which he found in a dry well in Luoyang.
After years of hard work, the realm is at peace. The Hegemony System issues one final command: "The last mission: serve my Host well as his minister. Complete it, and your reward is a Qin Shi Huang brand elixir of immortality."
Decades later, Liu Bian dies, and his ministers weep as they insist on giving him the posthumous title Guang.
One whose achievements are known above and below is called Guang; one who can carry on the work of his predecessors is called Guang.
Liu Bian, who has been lying flat with the System's help, looks back on a life of eating, drinking, and having fun, where every attempt at hard work made him cough up blood. He feels a little ashamed.
