The Stubborn Puppet Emperor Has Driven the Regent to Despair

Xie Guanxing had just won a billion-dollar lottery when he transmigrated, and ended up as a puppet emperor. With the help of a stubborn System that enables his worst impulses, Xie Guanxing, who would rather eat shit than take a loss, embarks on a series of spectacularly suicidal antics.

Someone in the palace wants to poison me?

Xie Guanxing: Come on over. We can all play music and dance together.

The head eunuch doesn't take him seriously?

Xie Guanxing: Sure. You can be the emperor, and I'll be your eunuch and wait on you.

The Prince of Yanbei wants to become regent?

Xie Guanxing: Kneel and call me Dad first, then we'll talk.

Stubborn System: We have only four principles: be stubborn, be stubborn, and always be stubborn.

The puppet emperor's stubborn antics drive the entire court to the brink of a heart attack. But no matter how much poison they use or how many knives they pull, the puppet remains emperor. And the Prince of Yanbei, who once refused to kneel, is now the first to hit his knees every day.

Bonus scene:

Hoping to uncover the secret behind the young emperor's immunity to every poison, the Prince of Yanbei accepts his invitation to dine together. He guards against the food but not the incense, and falls under its spell.

Just as Xie Guanxing hurriedly sends for the imperial physician, the Empress Dowager barges in with her entourage. She accuses him of refusing to select consorts because he's having an affair with a pretty young eunuch, and declares him unfit to be emperor.

Xie Guanxing's stubborn streak kicks in at once. To protect the person on the imperial bed, he gets into a hair-pulling match with the Empress Dowager. In the end, she never finds out who was on the bed.

But from that day on, a rumor quietly spreads through the palace: "The person on the imperial bed that day was actually the Prince of Yanbei. He's had improper designs on the emperor for ages. Otherwise, why would he let an imperial prince from the Cold Palace take the throne?"

Xie Guanxing: The Prince of Yanbei is certainly a beauty. I won't argue with that.
