Drooling with Desire

When the village offered me up to a blood-sucking fiend from the martial world, Qing Jue appeared, bold and carefree. He saved the village, and he saved me.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, I begged the young man to take me away. Instead, he gave me a bag of silver and left, sweeping away in his robes.

Two years later, while washing clothes by the river, I found Qing Jue drifting downstream. I took him home. His face had been slashed, the tendons in his hands and feet severed, and his injuries were severe.

He had lost his memory, so I let him stay in the village as my husband, far from the martial world.

We got married.

Three years into our marriage, a visitor arrived. She said she was Qing Jue’s younger sister and could restore his memories and martial arts skills. She hoped I would divorce him.

I agreed on the surface, then packed our belongings that very night and led Qing Jue out of the village.

After we settled somewhere new, I thought we could finally live in peace. But in less than six months, another group found us.

They told me Qing Jue had recovered his memories long ago. Otherwise, after sharing a bed for over three years, why hadn’t I gotten pregnant?

I quietly went to see a doctor, and at last accepted my fate.

After much thought, I told Qing Jue we should divorce. This little backwater couldn’t hold back the famous “Jade Immortal” of the martial world.

Qing Jue didn’t leave. He flew into a rage, saying that I had begged him to marry me, only to abandon him after having my way. Now he would settle both old and new scores.

It was true that when his inner power was completely spent, I’d had a selfish hand in it. I had wronged him.

I was probably going to be killed by him.
