On some day in some month of some year, in an unnoticed corner, a five-member group formed. They stepped onto a stage nobody cared about, then gradually made their way into the center of people's attention.

More and more people started asking online:

Are they singers? Yes, but somehow they're more than that.

Are they a band? Not quite. Bands don't dance.

Idols? That doesn't quite describe them either. What kind of idols disappear right after releasing a song?

What kind of entertainers are they, exactly? People always seem to want to classify everything using concepts they already know.

But if you asked the girls themselves, they'd say:

“Us? We're Acestar!”

Usually, the leader of a group is the older, more dependable member. But Acetar is different: their leader is the youngest! Why, you ask...

Youngest: “Because I'm the only one who looks like she'd actually get things done.”

The eldest: A low-energy expert, always in power-saving mode. If she can avoid moving, she will. If she can sleep, she will. Her slacking skills are second to none! She can unleash her ultimate move with zero windup!

Youngest: “She uses her ultimate move first because she wants to slack off.”

Second eldest: An absurd, hilarious orange cat! She spends her days bouncing between “My teammates didn't hit me today” and “Was I being annoying today?” Her mouth runs even faster than the trains during Spring Festival travel season!

Youngest: “I hope she watches out when she crosses the street.”

Third eldest: The cutest baby in the world! But she can't take her eyes off a handsome guy...

Youngest: “She'd be in real danger in a romantic relationship.”

Fourth eldest: Cool and gorgeous, full of menace, an attack machine. She raps like she's sending a telegram. She'll scare you at first glance!

Youngest: “She's just slacking off because she doesn't have much of an expression.”

And our youngest, the leader, is respected by everyone. Just remember one thing:

Never let her order takeout!

Things to know before reading

1. This is my first ensemble-cast story! It's set in the near future, with a few spoonfuls of wuxia elements, since the second and fourth eldest are martial artists.

2. The main story follows five girls as they charge into the entertainment industry. Romance is a side plot. The guys only show up to handle support and cheer them on.

3. The group dynamic is friendship-focused. “Youngest” means the youngest member of the group, like the maknae in Japanese idol culture.

4. No real-life references intended. Any similarities are purely coincidental.

5. The story is steady and low-key. No thrills! No melodrama! Just everyday entertainment-industry progression!
