After transforming into human form, the cat was certain he was the luckiest cat in the world. But he never expected that in human society, he would need money to take home every single thing he liked. The cat didn't have a single coin on him, so forget about anything else: he couldn't even afford a steamed bun.
After going three days with nine missed meals and getting so hungry his front and back were almost touching, the cat was about to rummage through a trash can for food when he spotted a group of wealthy young men dressed in fine clothes. They looked like the sort who could buy him lots of cat food.
Before he became a two-legged creature, the cat had been an incredibly powerful Cat King. Every human who saw him for the first time would submit to him. They never raised their voices when speaking to him, using baby talk instead, and willingly cleaned up his poop. All he had to do was meow twice, and humans would find a way to pluck even the moon from the sky for him.
So even though he no longer looked like a cat, he still naturally believed he was the center of the world and master of all things. With a swagger, he walked up to the wealthy young men and demanded food.
The cat had never been refused before, and this time was no different. After a brief silence, they took him to the most luxurious restaurant.
Once he'd eaten and drunk his fill, the cat lifted his chin slightly and held out a hand to the wealthy young men. “You can have a sniff.”
Human slaves loved sniffing their Cat Master's paws. In the past, the cat had never deigned to get close to them, but times had changed. Since these people had been so obedient and brought him food, the cat didn't mind giving them a little reward.
The young man's skin was pale and delicate as snow, and his features seemed exquisitely sculpted. His beautiful eyes and brows radiated an innocence and purity untouched by worldly experience. His silver-white hair was brighter than moonlight, his clear blue eyes more luminous than a thousand gems, and his red lips lovelier than roses.
Though he was as innocent and guileless as a pampered little prince, he seemed to instinctively know how to play with people and train them like dogs. One haughty glance from his catlike eyes was enough to leave people utterly captivated.
These young masters, who usually did whatever they pleased and had only offered him food for amusement, looked at the beautiful boy's self-assured, almost gracious manner. They wanted to sneer sarcastically: What right do you have to talk to us like that? Just because you have a cute face that could melt anyone's heart?
They looked down on him in their hearts, yet their eyes stayed fixed on his slender, pale hand, its fingertips tinged a faint pink, as finely crafted as carved jade. Their Adam's apples bobbed up and down as if they were parched.
As though pulled by invisible chains, the kings who seemed to have everything under control in public moved closer to the beautiful boy, unable to help themselves. Starving, greedy, and crazed, they fought to take a deep sniff.

Fu Nanke and his friends ran into a beautiful boy on the street who looked just like a doll. The boy merely beckoned, and Fu Nanke's friends became so infatuated they seemed to lose their minds.
Fu Nanke watched his friends crowd around the boy like he was the center of the universe, pleading for another chance to sniff him. He frowned and took a step back.
He had no interest in joining in. But the boy seemed to have nowhere to go, and Fu Nanke's friends had frightened him with their creepy behavior. In the end, out of everyone there, he chose Fu Nanke to take him home.
His friends' eyes turned red with envy, and they kept cursing. Watching them act like fools and forget their brotherhood over a pretty face, Fu Nanke was seized by contrariness and really did take the boy home.
Just as Fu Nanke had guessed, the boy was a handful. He was picky about everything, from food and clothes to where he lived, and kept making all sorts of bizarre demands.
He wanted ears and a tail. He hated wearing clothes, so he didn't want to wear any. Fu Nanke was worried he might get hurt, so he had to watch him bathe...
Help, he's way too good at this! (Nosebleed intensifies.jpg)
Fu Nanke had initially thought the boy was trouble and that he should stay away. Gradually, though, he became one of the very fools he'd once looked down on. All he did all day was compete with his friends for the boy, chasing after him and shouting, “Wife, look at me! Wife, aren't you cold? Wife, are you hungry? Wife, the nights I miss you are so lonely...”
The cat, who had been called “wife” countless times: “How dare you, human slave! How dare you disrespect your Cat Master like this!”
The cat didn't want to be anyone's wife.
The cat wanted to stand on humans' heads and be the Cat King for the rest of his life!
