My Long-Dead Ex-Boyfriend Returned as a Ghost on Qixi

(Will open once the collection reaches 350)

On Qixi in 2026, it was an auspicious day for burials and making offerings, but inauspicious for weddings.

That day, after visiting my ex-boyfriend’s grave, I went on a blind date.

The date went smoothly. Like me, he was a homebody, but he was handsome, generous, funny, and so perfect that it was hard to believe someone like a shut-in like me could land him.

I thought a windfall had fallen from the sky, so we got married in a whirlwind.

After we moved in together, I gradually realized my husband was a little strange.

He liked to wear a blindfold when he went out, yet he navigated around obstacles in the road with pinpoint accuracy.

His skin was deathly pale, like a wax figure. In the sun, he carried an umbrella like a high school girl who didn’t want to get a tan.

He had almost no body heat. When he hugged me, it felt like I was wrapped in ice.

He also seemed able to see the future. When my boss gave me a hard time at work, he called to check on me and casually said that it wouldn’t happen again the next day. I thought he was only trying to comfort me. The next day, my boss was hospitalized.

Aside from that, my husband seemed sexless. We had shared a bed for six months of marriage, but never had sex.

Whenever I brought it up indirectly, my husband would easily change the subject.

I had a vague sense that he wasn’t perfect and couldn’t give me a child.

But I really wanted a child of my own.

So, without telling my husband, I started looking for a man who could give me a good child.

I made a lot of preparations. The day I stepped into a love hotel for the sake of having a child, the door opened, and there was my husband. He lowered his blindfold, his blue eyes smiling at me, and I was left frozen with fear.

That day, lying helpless on the bed, I finally realized that my husband... was a monster.
