An Utterly Ordinary Background Character at an American High School

American horror, American high school, road trip and campus ghost stories

Let's have an ordinary girl bewitch everyone!

Xin Mingshi is a genuine Asian nerd, a quiet, well-behaved girl who has a full scholarship and enjoys a healthy life.

She's average-looking, introverted, and barely noticeable. All she does is study, and her best friend is a hot cheerleading captain who's dating a football player.

She's practically the disposable character who dies at lightning speed in the opening of a horror movie.

As expected, on Halloween night she's sent to the basement to get beer at a party. When she turns around, she's already been locked inside.

The phone above her rings again and again.

Blood seeps through the ceiling overhead.

The basement door is smashed open with an ax.

A blood-covered figure pins her in a corner of the basement, and then she realizes...

Bad news: She's encountered a monster.

Good news: There's more than one.

*A horror comedy about an Asian nerd heroine who seems utterly ordinary, and the witches, werewolves, and various creatures from urban legends around her. It includes plenty of references to American horror.

Theme: Treasure the present
