A self-conscious military female transmigrates into a world where insect mothers reign supreme. The world's rules automatically transform him into an insect mother, and he uses his mental form and body to soothe these restless male insects...
The military female was a retired female insect general. After frightening a useless male insect, he was stripped of his rank. Having endured cruel torture, he killed his fellow insects on the way to prison and transmigrated while gravely wounded.
He was rescued by primitive insects who had not yet awakened. Once his body recovered, he connected to the mental network of the first high-ranking insect...
The military female was exceptionally strong. He could soothe several high-ranking insects at once without getting tired, and his mental network was just as powerful. By every measure, he was an outstanding insect mother.
Naturally, powerful male insects flocked around him, doing everything they could to please him, all hoping to win even a sliver of the newborn insect mother's favor.
But the military female didn't know that these male insects were actually a different kind of female insect. He thought they were showing interest because they wanted to get together with him.
In a way, they really were getting together with him.
The male insects pursued him so passionately that the military female, who wasn't good at turning others down, became increasingly flustered. Once he learned they were all male insects, he desperately wanted to return each one's feelings, but he was so bad at this that he could only avoid them.
After years of being oppressed, the military female's mental state was rather fragile. His insecurity often made him reject the insect kings' advances, leaving them deeply troubled.
Yet this same trait caused the insect kings to get the wrong idea during their special soothing sessions. Each thought he could have the insect mother all to himself, and they ended up fighting in a chaotic mess.
The military female had no idea what to do when these male insects fought over him. He had never seen anything like it before. His hands had only ever dealt with giant space beasts, and he had never even been matched with a male insect.
The poor military female could only clutch his stomach, unsure whose egg it contained, or perhaps whose eggs, as he helplessly faced all these unfamiliar things.
At this point, the former insect mother returned from the distant stars. He discovered that his successor had made a complete mess of managing his harem, letting a few little insect kings lead him around by the nose and even letting them do whatever they wanted in bed. Furious, the former insect mother brought several of his own insect kings and gave the juniors a thorough thrashing. Then he started teaching the military female how to manage the insect race properly.
The former insect mother was tiny, a pretty boy with pink hair. He put his hands on his hips and looked up at the towering new insect mother, astonished.
Did the world's will think this one would be better at bearing children? Did it think he'd laid too few eggs?!
The former insect mother explained the nature of this world, the abilities of an insect mother, how to deal with disobedient male insects, how to choose the male insects he liked as his insect kings, and the insect mother's mission: to give birth to more high-ranking insects and soothe the restless insect race.
The military female was dumbfounded. Was this something a female insect could do? He had thought being able to bear children for so many male lords was already the highest honor imaginable.
The former insect mother gave him a hard smack and ordered him never to entertain such a disgusting idea again. Male insects were merely playthings for an insect mother.
No one had ever told the military female that this was how the world worked.
This unusual insect mother, according to the former insect mother's inherited memories, was unlike any insect mother he had ever seen: tall and handsome, indistinguishable from a male insect.
Yet beneath his newly grown, gorgeous, delicate wings were the honey glands unique to insect mothers. They produced a priceless substance that only insect mothers could make, used to nourish their young and soothe the insect race.
The former insect mother passed his inheritance on to this unusual new insect mother.
The military female, whose worldview had been utterly shattered, staggered, then laid the first batch of eggs in his belly.
There were far too many eggs, and they were far too mixed. The former insect mother stared in shock, grabbed the collar of the reckless, towering insect mother, and demanded, "What are you doing? How could you be so reckless? Mating with so many male insects at once is dangerous! If this premature birth hadn't happened, eggs from different males would have fought inside your abdomen until only those with the same scent remained. Only then would they be born. You could have lost your ability to reproduce."
The military female, who didn't know how to turn male insects down, went deathly pale. In the world he'd come from, female insects who couldn't get pregnant were sent to be used as public toilets.
And this insect mother, who was supposedly his senior, looked so much like the male insects from his world.
He was afraid the other would send him off to be a filthy toilet.
The former insect mother couldn't understand why the big fellow was so frightened. He spent a long time comforting him before learning that the poor insect mother had once lived in a society like that.
He called over two of his own insect kings and whispered with them. After a brief discussion, they nodded and gave the military female an order: "Get pregnant with the egg of your favorite male insect within three days."
The military female wanted to say, "You, then."
The former insect mother understood what the military female was trying to say and was horrified, thinking he had an unusual appetite. He earnestly advised him to choose a stronger male insect, so their offspring would be better, like his own.
Then he covered his backside, thought better of it, covered his front, and ran away.
The poor military female had been rejected and still wasn't very good at using mental links. His melancholy spread to every insect, bringing tears to their eyes. Who had broken their Empress's heart?
Several high-ranking insects the military female had picked out spent the whole night peeking in through the doorway. They wanted to go inside but didn't dare.
In the end, the strongest male insect was kicked in by the former insect mother.
Three days later, the military female successfully laid a second batch of eggs.
He covered his eyes in embarrassment and tried to get used to being held in someone else's arms.
"Sorry," he said. In the end, he sat up and pulled the much larger male insect into his arms, letting him lean against his chest. He still wasn't used to relying on another insect.
The former insect mother watched through the crack in the door and nearly blacked out.
The military female was a little weak, but he was still a military female. The male insect was both overwhelmed with joy and careful as he held the insect mother's waist, gently licking the honey that had leaked from behind his wings after giving birth, trying to help him fall asleep peacefully.
But the military female's vigilance kept him awake. He had to protect these eggs.
A series of one-on-one pairings, with a battlefield of rivals competing for the hero.
The whole insect race joins forces to help a scarred, self-conscious military female find salvation and become a confident new insect mother.
