I Really Can't Get Pregnant

Childfree | Slightly harem-attracting bottom | Older top | 1v1 | Both leads are pure | Happy ending

Qiao Zhen had only wanted to hide in the village and live a quiet life.

But the child he was raising fell ill, and he was getting weaker by the day. He couldn't even lift a finger, and he was so poor he could barely scrape by.

Even when his sugar daddy tracked him down in the countryside from a thousand miles away, all he could do was let the man force his way into his shabby little house.

To get medicine for the child, he wore a qipao and awkwardly tried to please his sugar daddy. "I'll sleep with you. Could you be the child's new daddy?"

After getting the child settled, Qiao Zhen bought himself a grave plot.

Just as he was about to lie down in it, his sugar daddy, scowling, dragged him back to their nest and stripped him bare.

The scar on his abdomen was exposed. Young Master Shi's voice trembled. "The child is mine, isn't it?"

He had almost forgotten that the child not only looked like him, but looked even more like Shi Boxiao.

*

Aside from his right hand, Shi Boxiao had only ever touched Qiao Zhen. He thought they were in a relationship.

But after being abandoned, they met again, and he learned that Qiao Zhen had only ever treated him as a sugar daddy. Qiao Zhen's true love was someone else, and they'd even had a child together.

Was he the kind of fool who could put the past behind him and help his rival raise a child?

He wasn't.

But seeing how weak and pale Qiao Zhen was, he couldn't stop himself from doing the laundry, cooking, and looking after the child. He found his own rhythm.

The child might belong to someone else, but at least half the child's blood came from Qiao Zhen...

Wait, why did the kid look more and more like him as he grew?!

When Qiao Zhen hinted at whether he liked children, Shi Boxiao thought they still had a future together.

But the moment he learned Qiao Zhen had never intended to keep living, he completely forgot what it meant to hold back.

"You don't want me, or the child, either?"

Bonus scene:

After Qiao Zhen was caught, everyone thought he would be tortured by the rumored cold and arrogant crown prince.

In reality, Shi Boxiao had climbed the ranks by bonding with the child. Every day, he crouched in their wooden shack, making baby food and figuring out how to coax Qiao Zhen into eating a few more bites.

Even after he got official status, he couldn't rest easy.

One night, when he heard someone cooing "Brother Zhen Zhen" in an affected voice from his lover's phone, he knew that innocent Qiao Zhen had once again been dazzled by the colorful world outside.

He was going to finish off every pest trying to seduce his sweetheart!

But why did those few pests sound so familiar?

PS:

1. 1v1, both leads are pure, and the child isn't theirs. [The author isn't an exception: every top in every book is pure.]

2. Both of them have unusual thought processes. The bottom is more like a robot (his problem-solving methods are pretty straightforward), while the top is more like a turkey (you can't judge him by human standards).

3. A brainless, sweet little story with a terrible plot and imperfect characters. You can criticize me, but don't criticize the leads.

4. It has some entertainment-industry elements, but I don't follow celebrities and don't know much about it, so there's not a lot.

5. The bottom is slightly harem-attracting, but only has romantic interest in the top.
