[Western Crossover] How to Become a Rare Batkid

These days, membership in the Dead Robin Club is practically a fashion accessory. Almost every generation of Robins has had one, so it's nothing special anymore.

What's really rare now is being the one who always survives.

No matter what disaster Earth faces, no matter what catastrophe befalls Gotham, no matter how evil, shameless, or powerful the enemy is, Raphael always survives.

Uninjured, unmaimed, safe and sound.

He remains in the ruined manor, watching his family die again and again, and witnesses the forty-fifth sunset of his life on a desolate planet.

Bruce thinks his youngest son is strange. Raphael is well-behaved, polite, steady, and quiet. There's only one odd thing about him: every day, he thinks his whole family is going to die.

Well, except for himself.

At first, he would often sigh when he was with Bruce and Alfred. Later, as more and more people joined the family, the number of people he sighed at grew too.

Dick walks by. Raphael: "The ways you die are always so creative. Please stop expanding my worldview."

Jason walks by. Raphael: "Hats off to the pioneer of dead-Robin gallows humor, but I don't think I've seen you come back a second time."

Tim crawls by in the shadows. Raphael: "You haven't died that many times, but you do tend to turn evil and cause trouble. I'm not sure which is worse, but hang in there, Timothy!"

Damian walks by and shoots him a glare. Raphael: "You haven't died much either, but your most famous death gave us plenty of iconic moments. I won't say anything else. Keep it up, Damian."

This time, Alfred and Bruce walk by together. Raphael's eyes go completely dead.

The heavyweights have arrived.

How long will his whole family stay intact this time?

Raphael suddenly doesn't want to wait alone through forty-five more sunsets.
