The previous novel in the same universe, *Won Over by My Crazy, Discarded Empress*, is complete.
【Cultured Villainous Senior Sister × Spoiled, Scheming Junior Sister】
Content warning: Later on, the junior sister will call her senior sister “Mommy.” The kinks get pretty intense, so if that’s not your thing, it’s best to stop here.
The junior sister is spoiled and will be the sweet, adorable type in their relationship once they finally get together much later in the story. She is not that way in her career, though, so please don’t read if that bothers you.
● Modern setting / Please don’t draw parallels to real life / Episodic cases
● A mountain of original worldbuilding / The author is an amateur, not a professional, when it comes to the supernatural
● Both are each other’s one and only / Happy ending / Seven-year age gap / Older woman-younger woman / Love and hate intertwined
If you’re okay with all of the above, read on
1.
Two years ago, Shen Qingxiao kept her junior sister as a lover. With willow-shaped brows, a curvy figure, and an unmistakably Eastern beauty, the girl in her qipao completely bewitched her.
But then that wretched woman dumped her and vanished without a trace, leaving no word behind.
When Shen Qingxiao saw her again, the junior sister she had once kept had become her boss: the leader of the Tianhuai Church.
With a willow-slim waist and a graceful, delicate figure, she breathed against Shen Qingxiao’s ear, her voice as fragrant as orchids. “Senior Sister… do you still want to keep me in line…?”
2.
After being forced to become partners with the woman she used to keep, Shen Qingxiao found herself with a spoiled, brazen cat at her side.
Yin Ye was the Yin family’s Saintess and the youngest member of the elite. This favored daughter of heaven had always been spoiled and overbearing. She could take down a person with three swings of a baton, and once smashed the headlights of a suitor’s sports car with a golf club.
Yet this very cat, who loved to scratch, curled up in Shen Qingxiao’s arms and nestled against her neck, cooing and acting sweet. The hint of red at the corner of her eyes could turn Shen Qingxiao’s bones to jelly.
After a mission, Yin Ye stared at the woman across from her, a cigarette between her fingers. Abandoning her usual gentleness, she said, “If someone else likes what I like, then it’s dirty. And when something is dirty, I always throw it away.”
Shen Qingxiao stubbed out her cigarette, her expression impossible to read.
Fourth Miss Yin didn’t want someone who loved her. She wanted a dog absolutely loyal to her, one that would die without her.
3.
Shen Qingxiao once had no idea what love was. She thought she and Yin Ye had a purely transactional relationship, each getting what they wanted, without interfering too much in each other’s lives.
But on the rainy night when Yin Ye “died” at Sanjiangyuan, Shen Qingxiao went mad with grief, refusing to let the arrow wound in her leg stop her from finding Yin Ye’s grave.
Alone at a grave in the rain, Shen Qingxiao knelt before it and finally understood. Just like her mother, she had failed to get what she wanted. The schemes and lies between her and Yin Ye, from beginning to end, were impossible to untangle.
Shen Qingxiao wanted to rot in that little mound of earth with Yin Ye, only to discover that the face beneath the human-skin mask belonged to a stranger.
Fourth Miss Yin was still lying to her, even in death…
Shen Qingxiao waited for half a year at the place where she and Fourth Miss Yin had first met. When the woman finally appeared, she was all smiles, but didn’t remember her.
“My name is A Si. May I get to know you?”
Shen Qingxiao kept her eyes fixed on Yin Ye and curved her lips into a smile. “Sure…”
A disobedient cat should be fitted with a tracker and locked up at home.
Please note:
1. The church in this story is entirely fictional. Please don’t draw parallels to real life.
2. A character’s morality has nothing to do with their gender or ethnicity. Good and bad traits are fictional elements in service of the story. Please don’t read too much into them. If it’s not to your taste, please stop reading.
Next novel: *After Becoming the Lover of a Borderland Big Shot*. Younger woman/older woman, mainly from the pursuer’s perspective. If you’re interested, check it out in the author’s series list.
1.
If you want to trade jade in the southern city of Mengla State, there are three things you absolutely must not touch: Yi Wansui’s goods, Yi Wansui’s guns, and Yi Wansui’s women.
There was only one woman: Qu Jiangchi.
Qu Jiangchi had been Yi Wansui’s jade appraiser, kept right under her nose for three years. But everyone knew their relationship went far beyond that of a boss and an employee.
The Wulu River’s course had never been changed at anyone’s whim, but the Yi family estate had drawn the two women into its nights again and again, their intimacy hazy and their passion blooming in the dark.
At night, Qu Jiangchi lay on Yi Wansui’s bed, a cigarette of Yi Wansui’s between her fingers. She crossed her long legs, teasing Yi Wansui’s chin with the tip of her foot, her every movement bewitching and her eyes full of affection.
Yi Wansui reached out and held her ankle, pressing her thumb to the mole on her ankle bone and slowly rubbing it. Her eyes, dark and heavy, fixed on Qu Jiangchi. “You’re getting too big for your boots.”
Qu Jiangchi chuckled, her eyes brimming with charm. “You taught me, President…”
2.
Yi Wansui was the president of the Mengla State Jade Merchants’ Association in the southeastern borderlands, the largest jade dealer in the entire region. She controlled the key routes from raw stone imports to finished-product exports.
In Mengla, where various factions were locked in a chaotic struggle for power, her association was an intermediary no one could afford to bypass. It did legitimate business, while also profiting from the gray market.
It was a game between consenting adults. Qu Jiangchi played along with Yi Wansui for three years, partly because she wanted the woman’s body, and partly because it gave her a place to call home in the tumultuous southern city.
Qu Jiangchi guarded her heart, warning herself not to fall into President Yi’s warm, ambiguous trap.
But over those three years, Yi Wansui had protected her more than once, whispering as she kissed her, “You’ll always be mine…”
Only when news came that Yi Wansui was about to get engaged did Qu Jiangchi understand what those words meant: How long can a woman who relies on her beauty to please someone expect to remain favored?
With a scornful laugh, Qu Jiangchi threw the imperial-green jade ring Yi Wansui had given her into the Wulu River. Then she prepared to leave Mengla with Ruan Yue and return to China.
What she didn’t know was this:
Lookouts had been placed all over Ruicheng, Mandalay, and the Jiegao crossing. Bounties worth a fortune covered Mengla State, and the entire underworld was searching for Qu Jiangchi.
That night, at the Jiegao crossing, Qu Jiangchi was dragged from her car. Through the blinding headlights, she caught a glimpse of Yi Wansui’s cold, grim face in the back seat. Desire weighed behind those tea-colored eyes as they stared straight at her.
Countless boats drifted across the Wulu River, searching day and night for the ring.
3.
Perhaps sorrow and hatred cannot be restrained. Even when we meet again, it’s hard to ask. Once, dark brows left their mark upon a spring dress.
The future is uncertain, and heartbreak leaves only the fading scent behind.
The lonely pine is fit to weather the late years; the other trees prefer the fragrant spring.
The Jialing River winds past Qujiang Pool. Though the moon shines on us both, we are parted.
Theme: Mend the flaws in the way of Heaven and restore the balance of yin and yang.
Xiaosi had no consciousness of survival at that time and would rather live this life. However, in the confession of the senior sister, the senior sister would rather die in love than dig a grave to die with Yin Si. Why is the Mid-Autumn Festival so cruel to me [crying] [crying] [crying]
This book is very interesting, but it's too cold. The relationship between the two people is so touching, and the subject matter of the case is very meaningful.
When will we have dinner? [Crying]
