So Infatuated

Late autumn, and Lanceshire was in the grip of a long rainy season. Victoria could no longer put up with her unruly, incorrigible daughter Eve, so she hired her a governess. A month later, the young lady had turned over a new leaf, docile and obedient as a puppy. Now she insisted on marrying the governess, even going on hunger strike to get her way. Victoria's head throbbed. She hurried back to the manor. Just in time to catch the two of them kissing as if no one else existed. The mild-mannered, quiet governess was blushing from head to toe. Dressed in a green plaid dress, she was held tight around the waist and trapped in her daughter's arms, like a frail plant. When she noticed Victoria watching, her clear eyes darted away, uneasy. Then she meekly let her daughter take her by the wrist and pull her into the bedroom. Victoria's face darkened as she scrutinized the lowborn, timid governess. How could someone so ordinary and unremarkable make the young lady so infatuated? On a rainy night not long after... Victoria held the woman in her arms, removed the troublesome lace glove from her finger, and leisurely caressed her trembling back. She had to admit that the young lady had good taste. - The two semes are mother and daughter in name only, not by blood. It's both their first love, and Victoria is the endgame. I've revised the blurb. I don't have inspiration for the previous version right now. Theme: Strive for what you want, don't miss a hard-won opportunity, and maintain a positive attitude toward life
